There will also be a free evening event on Friday October 6, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Harvard University Geological Lecture Hall, University Museum, Room 100, 24 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Professor Psyche Loui of Wesleyan University and ProjectLENS will explore what happens when composers and musicians hear colors, shapes, and personalities. How might these extraordinary experiences affect a composer’s writing, or a musician’s interpretation of a piece, and why do all musicians use visual language to describe sound?

Seating is on a first come first seated arrangement. Doors will open at 6:00 pm
